Airplane Taking Off

On June 3, 2001, Karen & Jon met for the first time in real life at the Incheon airport in Seoul, South Korea.
South Korea is a beautiful country, we got to see an awful lot of it in our travels there.  We lived in a city called Chunchon which is located approximately 70kms. north of Seoul; the capitol city, a megatropolis of some 30 million people!  Jon did anything he could to keep from having to drive anywhere near Seoul!

In our apartment building, we were the only "westerners" in the entire building of some 5000+ Koreans.  The Koreans are a very friendly culture but the smell of their food leaves much to be desired!

We've included just a few photo's from our stay in South Korea. (it's impossible to post our memories of this wonderful experience!).  We hope you enjoy the memories we have tried to share!  (By the way, we climbed that mountain in the background on a hot summers day!).

Of the dozens of temples we visited we never saw any vandalism and these are open 24 hours a day!
